World Series Win...With Chiropractic

This years end to the MLB season was not exactly a West Coast triumph and it has been too long since the Mariners were on top but seeing a Game 7 is always exciting. When your star pitcher goes down with a trapezius spasm and neck pain before the game, things get dicey. That is what happened to Max Scherzer leading to a mad scramble to get him back on the field. Round the clock care for his injuries, including chiropractic care meant he could pitch on game night and lead the Nationals to a World Series win. Read the Article from CBS sports here.

Chiropractors are increasingly becoming important for many sports franchises because it offers quick, safe and drug free options for injury healing. In addition, chiropractic has been shown to increase brain synapses, especially those related to movement, strength and cortical drive (interestingly studies completely on stroke victims has shown similar results).

Athletes benefit from what chiropractors do and many are willing to praise the care they have received. I think this quote from Arnold Schwarzenegger sums it up nicely:

“We’ve got to let the people know that there is a necessity — it’s not even an option; it’s a necessity — to have a chiropractor. As much as it is a necessity to have a dentist. If you have a dentist for the family, you should have your chiropractor for the family.”
