On Saturday, May 12th, LAW Advocates of Whatcom County, a local organization that aims to provide professional and legal support regardless of income, organized a fundraising group mountain bike ride around Lake Whatcom. Wander Brewing hosted the after party and generously donated $1 of every beer related sale to The LAW Advocates.
Bellingham Bay Chiropractic & Holistic Health jumped at the opportunity to give back to the community by sponsoring a rider and providing free soft tissue massage for any of the participants.
Dr. Beamer’s portable chiropractic table was the perfect solution for participants riding the 60 mile mountain bike loop across a 10K elevation gain. He spent roughly 10 minutes with each interested rider - massaging their hips, low back, shoulders, and upper traps. These are often the same pain points exacerbated by working from a desk, of which many admitted was part of their typical weekday.
"It’s important to me to meet people where they’re at; whether they’re amateur athletes, just learning how to exercise their bodies, weekend warriors, or at a brewery in Bellingham!” said Dr. Beamer.
Wander Brewing’s all-ages Brew Hall is the perfect party or post ride spot for people around town benefiting from the terrain and adventure Bellingham has to offer. The Brew Hall has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating as well as an ample outdoor bike racks. You can snag a seasonal beer on tap and enjoy onsite or take some bottles and cans home. They also offer a different rotating food truck seven days a week. (Check their website or social channels for an updated schedule)
Dr. Beamer does more than soft tissue massage. As a chiropractor, he offers adjustments, nutritional education, long term health plans, and more targeted for optimal health. Interested? Contact Bellingham Bay Chiropractic for an appointment!
